CORE Wellness & Recovery Services
At The CORE Movement Studio, movement and recovery go hand in hand. Alongside our Pilates, GYROTONIC®, and CoreAlign® programming, we also offer two advanced wellness recovery modalities: the NEO Light Bed with 4 color options and 6 frequencies and the Starpool Dry Float Bed — the only combination of its kind in Montgomery County.
Both are available as standalone services, with no Pilates membership or attendance required. Current CORE members can also purchase wellness credits to their membership for a discounted-frequency rate. Whether you're managing chronic tension, recovering from training, or simply want to invest in restorative self-care, our recovery suite is open to the entire community.
NEO Light Bed | Full-Body Red & Near-Infrared Light Therapy
What It Is
The NEO Light Bed is a full-body photobiomodulation (light therapy) bed that bathes the body in targeted red and near-infrared light wavelengths. Unlike a spot-treatment panel, the full-bed design allows every major muscle group to receive consistent, even exposure in a single session — something localized devices can't replicate.
How It Works
Photobiomodulation works at the cellular level. Red and near-infrared light penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the mitochondria — the energy-producing structures within our cells — stimulating increased ATP (cellular energy) production. This cellular response is associated with:
The NEO Light Bed will be offered as a standalone service or as an add-on, with single sessions, 4-session packages, 8-session packages, & memberships. Dry Float | Weightless Recovery, No Water Required
Starpool Zerobody
Dry Float
What It Is
Our Starpool Zerobody Dry Float Bed delivers the deep, weightless relaxation of a traditional float tank — without ever touching water. You float on a soft, water-resistant membrane suspended over body-temperature water, so you get true zero-gravity relief without immersion, salt residue, or a required shower afterward. Dry float therapy is a modern variation of traditional float therapy, designed to give you the same deep relaxation and stress-relief benefits but without actually getting wet. In-stead of floating in water, you lie on a specialized, cushioned flotation bed or mattress that simulates the buoyant, weightless feeling of water.
Zero pressure support
Muscle relaxation
Joint decompression
Parasympathetic Activation
Cortisol reduction
Mind-body reset
Oxygen delivery
Lymphatic stimulation
Temperature regulation
How It Works
Floating removes gravitational load from your joints, muscles, and spine while minimizing external sensory input. This combination has been studied for its effect on the nervous system — specifically, shifting the body out of a stress ("fight or flight") state and into a parasympathetic, rest-and-recover state. Research on floatation-based rest points to benefits such as:
Reduced stress and cortisol levels
Relief from anxiety and racing thoughts
Eased chronic muscle tension and pain
Improved sleep quality
Faster recovery after intense training
Greater mental clarity and focus
Why Dry Float, Specifically
Because there's no water contact, Dry Float is one of the most accessible recovery tools available — appropriate for a wider range of guests than a traditional wet float tank, including many people managing skin sensitivities, later-stage pregnancy (with provider approval), or claustrophobia concerns. No swimsuit, no shower, no salt in your hair; just float, breathe, and reset.
What to Expect
Session lengths: 20, 30, or 60 minutes
Sessions are completely private
Dress comfortable, no need to change or shower after
No prior float experience needed — first-timers are very welcome
“Even after my 1st float session, I felt a noticeable difference! I was more relaxed, my mind was calmer, and the tension I always seem to carry felt a bit lighter. I can’t wait for my next session”

Your Questions, Answered here:
-
The NEO Light Bed is a full-body light therapy system that surrounds you in targeted wavelengths of red and infrared light, plus a calming green-light or cleansing blue light mode. Unlike handheld devices or small panels, the full-body bed design means every part of you receives light exposure at once, rather than treating one area at a time.
-
Red and infrared light therapy is most commonly used to support muscle recovery, ease joint and muscle discomfort, improve circulation, and support skin health. Many clients also use it simply to relax — the green "Calm Mode" setting is designed specifically for stress relief and unwinding rather than active recovery.
-
The bed uses specific wavelengths of light that penetrate the skin at different depths, which the body's cells absorb and use to support natural repair and recovery processes. This is sometimes called photobiomodulation. No heat, needles, or chemicals are involved — you simply lie down, fully clothed or with as little clothing you are comfortable with, while the light does the work.
-
Yes. It's a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that's been studied extensively. That said, as with any wellness modality, we'll go over any contraindications with you before your first session (for example, certain medications or skin conditions may need a modified approach).
-
We recommend 8-minute treatments.
You can do multiple sessions in a row but it is not recommended of the same sessions. Ex. one Restore, one Calm, not two Restore.
More time does not imply more benefits, and studies have shown that too much exposure may result in diminishing returns.
We recommend 1 application per day and 3-5 sessions per week, and at least one rest day.
-
Not at all. The NEO Light Bed is available as a standalone service — you're welcome to book it on its own, with no class attendance or private sessions required. CORE members receive a discounted rate, and separate stand-alone packages are also available if the Light Bed is all you're looking for.
-
Standalone single-session pricing and package options are available.
Pricing is determined by session length. Each color session is 8 minutes ( DUO sessions are 16 minutes).
Single color session $40
DUO color session $55
-
Like all of our services, the NEO Light Bed is by appointment only through PocketSuite — no walk-ins.

The Starpool Dry Float Bed lets you experience the deep relaxation of flotation therapy without ever touching water. You lie on a soft membrane suspended over roughly 400 liters of warm water — the membrane conforms to your body, so you sink in and float, fully supported, while staying completely dry.
-
Traditional float tanks submerge you directly in water (often heavily salted to help you float), which means getting wet, showering before and after, and being in an enclosed pod. The dry float bed gives you the same floating, weightless sensation — no water contact, no salt, no swimsuit, no shower required afterward. It's also open rather than enclosed, which some clients find more comfortable than a closed pod.
Traditional float tanks use Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) concentrations high enough that your body floats effortlessly on the surface, roughly double the salt density of the Dead Sea. The weightlessness is real and total. The sensory deprivation in an enclosed pod is also more complete than most dry floatation setups.
For people who can tolerate the pod and the salt chemistry, the immersive experience is distinct.
Dry floatation achieves gravitational unloading through mechanical distribution rather than buoyancy chemistry. The membrane spreads your weight across a much larger surface area than any mattress can, and the water heating beneath it provides the thermal neutrality that prevents temperature contrast from registering as sensation. The sensory reduction is real but depends more on room setup and is generally less absolute than a closed pod.
From a practical standpoint: no pre-session shower, no post-session hair situation, no Epsom salt in open wounds or irritated skin, no claustrophobic pod. Sessions can be shorter. The equipment is simpler to maintain.
And critically, populations that traditional protocols had to exclude, people with certain skin conditions, those in later pregnancy, people with sensory hypersensitivities, can access the therapy.
Choosing between them isn’t really about which is “better.” It’s about which barriers apply to you.
-
Dry flotation is used to support deep relaxation, muscle and nervous system recovery, reduced stress, and improved sleep. Because the body is fully supported and weightless, it's also gentle on joints and the spine, making it a nice complement to all fitness and movement methods like Pilates and GYROTONIC®.
-
Both. Clients use it for pure stress relief and mental reset, as well as for physical recovery after intense training or as a complement to injury/pain-recovery work.
-
Sessions run for 10 up to 30 minutes.
-
Not at all. The Dry Float Bed is available as a standalone service and doesn't require attending classes or private sessions. CORE members receive a discounted rate, and stand-alone packages are also available if you're booking the Dry Float Bed on its own.
-
Standalone single-session pricing and package options are available, with a discounted rate for CORE members.
-
Like all of our services, the NEO Light Bed is by appointment only through PocketSuite — no walk-ins.
-
Dry flotation is gentle and low-risk for most people, but we'll review any relevant health history with you beforehand : for example around pregnancy, certain cardiovascular conditions, or open wounds/skin conditions.
-
No preparation is required. Unlike traditional wet float tanks, there’s no pre-session shower, no swimwear logistics, no Epsom salt to worry about.
You arrive, you change into whatever comfortable clothing the facility provides or recommends, and you lie down.
